Meet our Director

Dr. Janet Morrow King

Program Director

Dr. Janet Morrow King, Program Director, has led The Academy of Creative Arts at Trinity (ACAT) 5 years. She is also the Music Director at Trinity Church. These positions bring together her musical and administrative talents with a strong calling to serve inner-city youth and families through enrichment programs in the arts and education.  Janet really, really loves to sing and we do a lot of that at ACAT!

Janet retired from Colorado State University in 2009 after a 24-year career of teaching voice, diction, opera, vocal pedagogy, and Women in Music. After that she earned the Master of Divinity degree from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA, and served as the parish music director at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and on the youth leadership team of the Education and Life Training Center, both in Ft. Collins CO.

Dr. King holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota and has sung professionally in opera, concerts and churches in Germany and Austria, and in many states from Missouri to California.  Now she sings every week with the children of ACAT and the parishioners of Trinity Church.
